A FOUNDATION STONE FOR A SOCIAL HOUSING BUILDING IN BOSANSKI PETROVAC

An event took place in Bosanski Petrovac on February 25, 2015 marking the commencement of yet another construction led by HWA – a building for non-profit social housing that shall become a home for six internally displaced families in four months. This activity is a part of the Project “Support to durable solutions of Revised Annex VII Dayton Peace Agreement Implementation Strategy”, funded by the EU/UNHCR The ceremony was attended by heads of HWA and UNHCR, Head of Municipality, Directors of construction and supervision companies. Municipality Bosanski Petrovac provided co-funding as well as the land, a building permit and revised project documentation. The value of works is approximately 270.000 KM.

 

GRANTS ALLOCATED FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERING OF RETURNEE AND DISPLACED FAMILIES HOUSEHOLDS

Within the Project designed to support implementation of Annex VII of Dayton Peace Agreement and funded by UNHCR and EU, HWA allocated grants for sustainability to 168 families for economic empowering of returnee and displaced persons households in MunicipalitiesMaglaj, Mostar, Foča, Bijeljina, Živinice and Bosanski Petrovac. Agricultural machines, greenhouses, live kettle, materials for construction of stables, wheat seeds were donated for the purpose of project beneficiaries self-employment.

 

 
 

 

 

FIVE HOUSING UNITS RECONSTRUCTED IN MOSTAR

On January 8, 2015 HWA handed over five housing units to families-beneficiaries of the Project supporting durable solutions of the revised strategy for implementation of Annex VII of Dayton Peace Agreement, funded by UNHCR and the EU. Two families received sustainability grants-moto cultivators with trolleys and motor saws for economic strengthening of their households. Several other houses shall be reconstructed and provided with accompanying infrastructure and sustainability measures over the next three years.

 

RESIDENTS OF FOČA RECEIVE THREE RECONSTRUCTED HOUSES AND A NEW LOCAL WATERSUPPLY SYSTEM

On January 15, 2015, HWA handed over two houses with the accompanying infrastructure in Municipality Bosanski Petrovac as a result of activities in the Project „Support to durable solutions of revised strategy for implementation of Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement” funded by the UNHCR and the EU. This project is being implemented in ten Municipalites in B&H. Besides the homes and the infrastructure, this Project, which is three years long, also provides support for economic empowerment of beneficiaries – economic sustanability, and therefore construction/reconstruction of several other housing units is envisaged by this project.
