SIXTEEN FAMILIES IN TUZLA NOW HAVE NEW HOMES

On November 4, 2015 the keys to 16 homes in Ši selo in Tuzla were handed over to beneficiaries for their use on the principle of social housing. They are situated in a residential building which was constructed within the project Social Housing System (SHS) – Development of the integrated model in theory and practice. The project is funded by the European Union with significant administrative and financial support of local authorities and implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International HWA in cooperation with a non-governmental organization – Foundation of local democracy FLD.

Tuzla city administration has significantly supported this project and the concept of social housing and actively participated in project implementation with cofinancing and land for construction with all the permits.

EIGHT NEW HOMES FOR BENEFICIARIES IN JABLANICA

JablanicaOn October 20, 2015 a festive ceremony took place in Jablanica Municipality. Keys to eight new housing units were handed over to beneficiaries for their use on the principle of social housing.

The building with eight flats has been constructed within the project Social Housing System (SHS) – Development of the integrated model im theory and practice. The project is funded by the European Union with significant administrative and financial support of local authorities and implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International HWA in cooperation with a non-governmental organization – Foundation of local democracy FLD.

Jablanica Municipality has significantly supported this project and the concept of social housing and actively participated in project implementation with cofinancing and land for construction with all the permits.

A SOCIAL HOUSING BUILDING IN BRČKO DISTRICT - NEW HOME TO 10 FAMILIES

At a festive ceremony in Brčko District on October 7, 2015 – keys to 10 new homes were handed over to 10 beneficiary families. Ten flats are in a newly constructed residential building -  a result  of a EU funded project  - Social Housing System – implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International. The project was co-financed by Brčko District.
SHS Project is funded by the European Union through the instrument for pre-accession assistance (IPA 2011) in the amount of € 1.000.000 and it is co-funded by the local authorities in the amount of € 714.905. Within this project, 6 residential buildings have been constructed or are under construction in six municipalities with the total of 62 housing units for the families in need.

On October 6, 2015 a festive ceremony took place in Prozor-Rama Municipality. Keys to six new housing units were handed over to beneficiaries for their use on the principle of social housing.
The building with six flats has been constructed within the project Social Housing System (SHS) – Development of the integrated model im theory and practice. The project is funded by the European Union with significant administrative and financial support of local authorities and implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International HWA in cooperation with a non-governmental organization – Foundation of local democracy FLD.
Beneficiaries in Prozor-Rama are the first of the six locations targeted by this project to move into the flats. Prozor Rama Municipality has significantly supported this project and the concept of social housing and actively participated in project implementation with cofinancing and land for construction with all the permits.

CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSING UNITS FOR ROMA FAMILIES IN GORICA SETTLEMENT, MUNICIPALITY CENTER IN SARAJEVO STARTED

A ceremony of laying cornerstone took place on September 15, 2015 in Roma settlement Gorica, to mark the beginning of construction of four housing units that shall become a home to four Roma families. The addressing was done by Nedzad Ajnadzic, Chairman of Municipal Council of the  Centar Municipality, Vladimir Pandurevic, EUD Sarajevo office representative, Suzana Jašarević, Hilfswerk Austria International Country Director for BiH, Elmir Bojadžić, ASB Director for SEE,  and Dervo Sejdić, Roma representative.

HWA is implementing the EU funded project Roma Action together with the project partners, ASB and Kali Sara and with the co-funding by local authorities, Center Municipality and Federal Ministry of DPs and Refugees,  which has been tailored to significantly improve the social status of 152 Roma families through housing & infrastructure, livelihood/job creation and social measures.
