NEW HOUSES FOR FIVE ROMA FAMILIES IN ČAPLJINA MUNICIPALITY

on .

The keys to five houses with all accompanying infrastructure have been symbolically handed to Roma families at a ceremony held in Stanojevići on November 23, 2015. The houses were given to the permanent ownership to the families who lived in the extremely difficult conditions so far – at a waste disposal area and in a collective center.

The houses have been constructed within the project „Roma Action“ that is funded by the European Union and is worth 2.5 million Euro, and local authorities are co-funding it with the additional half million euro.
Municipality Čapljina is one of the 14 Municipalites that are participating in the project and it provided the land for construction, all necessary permits and connections to electricity network.
